The month of December and Christmas went by uneventfully, as far as any paranormal activity. At least none that I noticed anyway. I don’t know if that’s because nothing happened or because we were maybe too busy to notice when something did happen.
It’s always in the back of my mind though, with the watching and waiting every time I can find the time to think about it. I’ve calmed down considerably from the apparition in the bathroom. It’s been a month or more and I’m still alive so I guess I really have nothing to fear.
There have been the occasional unexplained noise in another room once in awhile, but those happen so often we hardly even pay much attention to them anymore.
Well, today…actually about 20 minutes ago, I was reminded that we are not alone. My wife had just walked out the door to go to a niece’s birthday party at her sisters house. I was at the door to see her off and tell her to be careful and have fun. I closed the door and turned around to pick up a mess I had made on the kitchen counter before going back into the office.
As I was cleaning up the mess, I heard a very loud and long ’sigh’ just a few feet behind me. I spun around but of course nothing was there. My wife took the vodeo camera to the birthday party so I grabbed my camera and snapped 7 quick photos, but caught nothing on any of them.
This sigh was as loud and clear as if it had come from a living human being right there in the same room with me.
