Today, about 2:00 PM, I was getting some Christmas decorations out of the closet and we planned to start putting them out tonight. The closet has sliding doors. I had taken the boxes out and had been looking through some of the decorations. I then decided to make a sandwich before doing anything else.
As I was making the sandwich, right in front of me, I watched a roll of paper towels, which was standing up on the counter, slide about 6 inches from where it originally sat. I was about 2 feet from the roll when it happened.
About 2 minutes later, I heard the sliding closet door close by itself. I thought it might be the cat, but he was asleep…as usual.
Pretty active day so far.
I have to admit a door closing by itself would make me jump out of my skin. I don’t know why as I am familiar with activity. Usually things come when I am sitting here on the computer. They like to play with my hair. Whay that doesn’t scare me I don’t know, but a door, oh yes that would do the trick.
I wonder if the activity is growing in occurrences because the holidays are growing near. Many believe that renovations and major changes in a building will cause more spirit activity. Maybe, the preparation for the holidays has the spirits excited. Do you know the history of your house and the land it sits on? That might offer a clue as to who is wandering around with you and your family.
We are renting this home and I do know that the grandmother of the person we’re renting from used to live here, but died. I don’t know if she died here in the house or not and I’m hesitant to ask.
This will sound strange, but I get the definate impression of native Americans out in the farthest part of the back yard.
I used to live at Fort Sill and did a bunch of recording there. I have a really great one from the POW cemetary of people singing in what sounds like Native American songs. It was very soft and somewhat creepy, but still really neat. Considering your still working through the old lady haunting you and yours, I won’t recommend any new things like filming or recording the area you sense the Indians. Is the area you live in known for Indians being there? Perhaps a winter camping area for them?
On th elderly lady, she may not have died at the house, but if she loved it she may have been drawn back there. Maybe your family makes her feel good, that there’s a fmaily there and her hosue is happy. Have you been able to get anything on tape?
I haven’t caught anything on video. Not one thing. I’m kind of on the fence about doing audio recordings. Part of me would like to, but the other part just tells me to leave it alone. I was all for it until I watched a video and a girl said if you’re new to all this, don’t do it in your own home. You may not be prepared for what you get.
I’m starting to wonder now about that vioce that we heard coming from the living room. I initially thought it was male, but I guess it could have been the voice of an older female with a deeper voice.
EVP can be disturbing, especially in one’s own home. I tell myself that whether I have a recording from within my home or not, the voices are still there, the spirits are still there…so, why not know what they are saying? But, in especially active homes I’ve lived in, well I’ve decided ignorance is bliss. Cowardly? Most likely, but I just didn’t want to know. I can understand your trepidation in this. I’m not sure I’d want EVP results either.
We need an update!!
